The EPS170-6 extends D’Addario’s celebrated ProSteels formula to 6-string bass, rounding out the standard 4-string set with a wound .030 high C and a .130 low B. That extra range is built on the same specialized steel alloy that makes ProSteels the brightest and most magnetically responsive strings in D’Addario’s bass lineup, giving players the classic “piano tone” that steel-string bassists chase.
Under the hood, these strings deliver a harmonically dense top end with tight, defined lows that hold together whether you’re playing with fingers or attacking with a pick.
