The top strings are borrowed from the EXL170 set for snappy brightness and comfortable tension, while the low strings come straight from the EXL160 set to deliver a booming, tight low end. The result is a well-balanced set that many bassists reach for when they want articulate highs without sacrificing punch on the bottom.

Each string is round wound with nickel-plated steel over a hex core, produced on D’Addario’s digitally controlled winding machines in the U.S.A.
