This .130tw L string is the low B from Elixir’s Light set of Nickel Plated Steel bass strings, built for long scale instruments and finished with Elixir’s NANOWEB Coating. The taper-wound design lets the string seat cleanly at the bridge and nut for reliable intonation and smooth transitions across the fingerboard.
Elixir developed this coating by surveying thousands of bassists and running field trials with over 1,000 players, refining tension, flexibility, and feel specifically for round wound bass strings.
