Description
Ernie Ball’s Aluminum Bronze Acoustic Strings step away from traditional bronze construction to deliver a brighter, more defined voice with added durability. The aluminum-copper wrap alloy pushes projection and note clarity beyond what standard bronze sets typically offer, while standing up better to sweat, humidity, and everyday wear.
Each string starts with a maraging steel hex core, a material chosen for its strength and resistance to fatigue. That core supports the low end with a tight, punchy response and helps the set hold tune through aggressive strumming or extended playing sessions. Layered over it, the aluminum bronze wrap wire is precision-wound to produce crisp, ringing highs alongside deep, articulate bass — giving the set a balanced voice with excellent intonation across the fretboard.
Ball ends are machined from brass wire rod to tight tolerances, ensuring they seat properly in the bridge for reliable, consistent performance string after string.
- Gauges: .012, .016, .024, .032, .044, .054 (Medium Light)
- Aluminum bronze wrap wire for clarity and corrosion resistance

A solid choice for acoustic players who want more sparkle on top and more depth on the bottom, without sacrificing the longevity of their strings.
