The EJ25B set brings D’Addario’s Pro-Arte composite construction to the flamenco stage. Instead of relying on a traditional solid nylon core for the wound basses, D’Addario uses a proprietary multifilament stranded core that holds tuning far longer and resists the tone loss that plagues conventional nylon-core strings over time.
What sets this set apart from standard classical strings is its response character: it was developed and road-tested with flamenco players to strike a balance between a supple, flexible feel and the crisp, immediate attack that percussive flamenco technique demands. The black nylon trebles give the set a slightly darker visual and tonal presence than the clear-nylon EJ25C alternative, letting players choose the look and voice that fits their style.
Every treble string passes through D’Addario’s laser-measurement process, where a computer-controlled system checks diameter and tension hundreds of times per string to guarantee accurate intonation up and down the neck.
